Students of Class 3 are required to choose their elective International GCSE subjects for Class 4 by mid-March. This important decision is reached after guidance from the School in the form of presentations and meetings, for both parents and students.
• They indicate a student’s academic potential
• Universities look at International GCSE grades
• Some universities and certain courses require particular grades and subjects at International GCSE level
• Top ranking universities/competitive courses require ‘A’ and 'A*’ grades
Obligatory International GCSE subjects:
English, Mathematics and Greek (for Greek speakers)
Elective International GCSE subjects:
Students need to choose a further 5 International GCSE elective subjects
Note:• Grammar School students take GCE Ordinary Level English (First Language)
• Greek speaking students take Modern Greek GCE Ordinary Level and GCE Advanced Level in June of Class 5
• Physical Education is also part of the curriculum
