Enarmonisis |
The Grammar School Enarmonisis Programme aims to create trust, understanding and cooperation between Greek-speaking and Turkish-speaking teens, their families and friends.
A number of our Enarmonisis students are members of the Cyprus Friendship Programme (CFP) a non-profit, all volunteer bi-communal organisation. CFP is modelled after a similar programme that operated with great success in Northern Ireland for 20 years and brought together more than 2000 teenagers from the Catholic and Protestant communities. In Cyprus the programme is in its seventh year of operation.
Through CFP, our students Andreas Assiotis, Eleni Kleanthous and Maria Chrysanthou were selected to spend the month of July in the USA with American families. The teens were hosted in three different locations.
The activities they participated in during their one month in the United States included conflict resolution workshops and ropes courses, in addition to social and environmental work.
