European Educational Programmes

European Educational Programmes

The European Educational Programmes involve various events where our students have the opportunity to play the role of decision-makers and deal with a broad spectrum of issues. These issues focus on real current problems regarding the environment, global economy, scientific developments, regional and global political affairs and social issues. Through these programmes, participants have the chance to meet students from other countries and develop useful skills such as research, debating, public-speaking and presentation skills.

This academic year, the Grammar School participated in the Comenius Multilateral Partnership "Differences Unite Us" in Turkey and Lithuania, the Model United Nations Sessions in Hamburg-Germany and Nicosia, the European Youth Parliament in Cyprus and Amsterdam – Netherlands, the Euroscola programme in Strasburg-France and EU Matters in Nicosia. In addition, guidance and support were provided for the Young Researchers of Natural Sciences program in Hungary.

The outstanding performance of our students has helped to create an excellent reputation for our school and Cyprus. In addition to this, some of our previous delegates have been selected as chairpersons for different committees in the abovementioned or forthcoming sessions.
