Andreas Nestorides

Deputy Headmaster

Andreas Nestorides is a 1981 Grammar School graduate.  He returned to The Grammar School as a teacher in 1991, after completing an ASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1985 at the University of New Haven, a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1987 at Michigan State University and an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1989 at Southern Illinois University.
 

Prior to returning to The Grammar School, Mr Nestorides held a teaching assistant post at Southern Illinois University. He then worked as a senior engineer in Nicosia from 1989-1991.

Mr Nestorides taught Computer Science at The Grammar School.  At the same time he held a number of positions of responsibility including Officer of Computer Operations, Bus Service Supervisor, Assistant to the Examinations Officer and President of the Teachers Association Committee.

His current role at The Grammar School is Deputy Headmaster and member of the Examinations Committee.  He is responsible for the smooth running of the bus service and he co-operates with the Headmaster and Deputy Headmasters on a daily basis.  Mr Nestorides also monitors and organises the Prefect System and the school’s computer operations.  He is also responsible for the computer network, hardware and software as well as the organization of computer related seminars for teachers and staff.
