Class 6 Timeline

March – June
  • Begin research on UCAS

  • Focus on individual university websites

  • Narrow down the selection of courses and research requirements
  • Check if any Additional Admissions Tests are required (LNAT, UKCAT, BMAT etc) check the registration dates and procedures

  • Narrow down selection of universities, use the guidance in the booklets you have been given for this

  • Double check websites for all the qualifications/skills required for individual courses to be aware of what is necessary for your application

  • Make an appointment with the School’s Educational Counsellor/Deputy Headmistress if necessary

  • Attend the British Council Education Fair and university presentations at school
  • Start planning and drafting your Personal Statement

  • Use guidance in the Personal Statement Booklet for this

  • Additional information such as being a prefect can be added before finalizing your draft

  • Allow adequate time for drafting and redrafting

  • Use the UCAS Skills Profile for your subject, available from the School

  • Attend University Open Days or virtual open days where possible

  • Begin filling in your UCAS application form online using the school buzzword (from mid June)
