Following a nomination by Microsoft, The Grammar School proudly announces that it is now recognized as a Microsoft Showcase School for 2014-2015.  The Grammar School has now joined an exclusive group of schools across the world which successfully integrates technology with teaching and learning to deliver more personalized education to students using mobile and cloud technology.

The Grammar School is also proud to announce that its students achieved a remarkable 100% rate of success during last year’s MOS exams.

The Grammar School’s vision is to implement an innovative culture where its students are promoted in the future through technology.  To achieve this goal, the following IT developments have been taking place during the academic year 2014-15.

Robotics is an innovative programme which involves multi-disciplinary learning including Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  The programme is now part of The Grammar Junior School curriculum while Grammar School students have the opportunity to join the Robotics Club.  All students involved in Robotics will be able to build and program robots.

Moreover, the Grammar and Grammar Junior Schools are now partners with “Gnositechnia”, a modern web-based education portal based on Greek text books.  The portal operates through interactive material or documentary footage, providing the opportunity to broadcast via interactive whiteboards.  It utilizes the tablets 1:1 Method, through interactive games, group work and discussions, thus engaging students in a more interesting approach to learning.

The school is also partners with “Funecole”, an innovative, structured and complete collection of syllabi and learning content, integrating the development of critical thinking in computing in 21st century multidisciplinary subjects.
